One of Ipswich's fastest growing suburbs deserves a GP that's kept up.
Deebing Heights has changed fast. The population nearly doubled between the 2016 and 2021 censuses, jumping from around 2,000 to just under 4,000, and it's still climbing as new estates like Deebing Springs and South Place fill in. It's a young suburb too. The median age sits at 29 and most households are couples with kids, which makes it one of the youngest patches in the whole Ripley Valley.
The suburb runs from the newer smaller block estates in the north, down Grampian Drive, out to the acreage blocks of Paradise Heights in the Grampian Hills. From up there on a clear day you can pick out the Brisbane skyline. It's a real mix of brand new brick and settled semi rural, and both ends of it sit on the doorstep of Ripley Town Centre.
Here's the part that saves you time. Plenty of Deebing Heights families still drive north into Ipswich to see a doctor and cop the traffic, the parking and the gap fees. You don't have to. Grampian Drive feeds straight onto Ripley Road, and Ripley Road takes you to us. We're in the same complex as Coles with parking out the front, and since May 2026 every standard consultation is bulk billed for Medicare card holders.

How do I get to the clinic from Deebing Heights?
Grampian Drive is the spine of the suburb, and it feeds out onto Ripley Road. From there it's a short run north to Ripley Town Centre — we're in the Coles complex at T20, 20 Main Street. For most Deebing Heights addresses you're looking at well under a 10 minute drive, and you never touch the Cunningham Highway or head into Ipswich.
We just moved into a new estate. How do we register?
Deebing Heights gets a lot of new arrivals, so this comes up all the time. Just book your first appointment on HotDoc or by phone. Let reception know who your previous GP was and we'll request your records so they're ready when you come in. You can also register us as your regular practice through MyMedicare, which helps with continuity of care for the whole family.
Is bulk billing really $0 with no catch?
If you have a valid Medicare card, standard GP consultations are fully covered with no out of pocket cost — including weekend clinics and telehealth. Some procedural and specialty services still attract a private fee, and reception will always tell you in advance if a fee applies to your appointment.
Can I get a same day appointment?
Often yes, especially mid week. Book online via HotDoc to see real time availability, or call reception on (07) 5316 7868. Walk ins are accommodated where possible.
I'm on the tools and can't get in during business hours. What are my options?
Plenty of Deebing Heights households have someone in a trade, so we hear this a lot. Two good options. We run weekend clinics every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, both bulk billed for Medicare card holders. And telehealth phone consultations are available for eligible patients, so a quick follow up doesn't mean knocking off early.
What about after hours and emergencies?
Outside our opening hours we partner with Hello Home Doctor — call 13 41 00. For medical emergencies always call 000. Ipswich Hospital is your closest emergency department.
Can my kids see a doctor here too?
Absolutely, and with a suburb this young we see a lot of little ones. We look after patients of all ages, including children. Standard GP consultations for kids are bulk billed with a valid Medicare card — handy for the Deebing Heights State School crowd, whether it's catch up immunisations, school sores, ear infections or the usual round of household bugs.
